CONTRACT FOR USE OF WORK

Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology (hereafter FEEC) has compiled this form in order to protect the copyright of authors contributing to FEEC publications. No other text can substitute for this one, no part of this form can be amended. The completed form shall be attached to all materials to be published by FEEC.

By registering a project for the HONEYWELL EMI 2005 competition the authoir gives consent to transfer of copyright to FEEC Brno as the organizer of the competition and editor/publisher of competition projects.


The author grants the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology the right to use his/her work. The author guarantees that it is an original work and that he/she is the author (co-author) of the work, with exception of the passages (e.g. text, figures and data) in which the orignal source is declared by a note on copyright owners permission, if required by them.

FEEC recognizes the author's rights as follows:

  1. Authors (or their employers) retain all personal rights to the work, methods and procedures described within.
  2. Authors (or their employers) can copy or authorize a second person to copying of the whole work or passages for the personal use of the author or his/her employer on condition that the source and the right of FEEC to use the work are declared on the copies, and that the copies are not offered for sale.
  3. In cases not stipulated in 1 or 2 the author or his/her employer shall ask FEEC for permission to copy the work or passages including figures and tables.
  4. The author can use all parts or part of the work in his/her subsequent works. This right does not cover automatic granting of rights to a third person to print or distribute the work. Rights to third persons can be granted by FEEC only.

The above granting of right to use the work is not effective if the work is not in print or published, or if the author has withdrawn an application for publishing before acceptance.

Shared rights

If there is a number of co-authors, the agreement on granting the rights shall be signed by all co-authors or one authorized co-author, generally the one listed first.
